Every now and then, every hundred years or so, a dragon must return to its birth place,the lava nest where thousands of domant egg lay in wait for their turn to dominate the earth. A dragon returns to replenish the chemicals needed to produce fire. It will digest gallons of white hot lava for months.
Or the dragon is throwing up... it's your call.

That glow against dark shadows with such an intense color looks fantastic, Rich, I've always loved that effect it illuminates colors amazingly, really cool =]
That's a cool idea. Like the replenish story vs the throw up idea, although the second is sort of funny.
