A billion things wrong... but it's a start


I am messing around with a Ryan Church intro to digital painting DVD... This is my second attempt at it... Don't even ask about the first one... On the second time around I got to design my own ships but kept close to the composition... So if it looks familiar.. It's very much a compositional rip off....


I spent too little time on the BG and WAY TOO MUCH time on that dang glow brush. Restraint is going to always be an issue with that little puppy!


OH well, it is a good start and I look forward to many other attempts.

Pretty sweet man! The glow is looking niiiice. So what do yo use for this...Photoshop? You were right about my treehouse layout...its going back a while, I drew it in 2nd year! Hope you're doing well.

Corel Painter 9.5

You could easily do this with Painter, if you are comfortable with custom brushes.
